Part 1: Finding Creative Ways to Manage Your Time

Everyone has things that are important to them. These things usually include health, love, family and friends, faith, purpose, freedom and last – but definitely not least – time. Time is a gift and a responsibility. It is precious and valuable, yet it is the thing we usually abuse and waste the most.

You can work a job and earn money, but you can never earn time. However, Network Marketing is a very forgiving business that actually allows you to have more time.

So what are some creative ways to make the most of your time?

One way is to treat your Network Marketing business like a job, because then you’ll actually show up! Set hours and stick to them. There won’t be anyone to make you do it, but it’s what you do when nobody is looking that will make your business successful.

If you already have a full-time job, be efficient with the hours you do have for your Network Marketing business. You can get a lot done in 15-minute chunks or blocks if you really set your mind to it. Let’s say you have 10 hours a week to dedicate to Network Marketing. That is 40 15-minute blocks! You can get A LOT done in 40 15-minute blocks.

Whether you are full time or part time, make the hours you set for your Network Marketing business sacred, and don’t waste them on menial tasks. You might think you are saving money doing these tasks yourself, but you aren’t. Let’s say your goal is to make $1 million a year. That works out to be about $500 an hour. So you shouldn’t be doing any tasks that are worth less than $500 an hour. For instance, if you can pay someone $15 an hour to mow your lawn, and you do it yourself, you aren’t working during that hour and you are losing $485 an hour! It sounds crazy, but it’s true. Just remember that you need to use that time to focus on high-return activities.

Here is another way to look at it. If you were going to pay someone $1,000 a week to find prospects and do 30-minute presentations for you, how many presentations would you expect them to do? 10? 20? Now, in the last week, how many presentations have you done? A few? None?

How can you expect results if you are not treating Network Marketing like a job?

You can even trick your mind if you have to. Pretend that the people you respect are always watching you. Or pretend that someone is filming a movie about you. What would they see you doing?

Don’t just read this article. Put these things into practice and you will become a master of time management!
