    Busting Beliefs About Self Worth

    Published on:

I’ve had self worth issues for a long time. That sounds weird, right? I didn’t think I did. I thought I was fine, but for some reason when I started to make a lot of money in Network Marketing, no matter how much money I made, I was always broke and I didn’t know why. I made a bunch of money but for all kinds of different reasons, it was always gone.

Turned out it wasn’t because of those different reasons. I was self-sabotaging my success because of my self-worth issues.

My friend Jim Rohn helped me a lot with this.

It started when I invited him to speak at one of my events. When he went up on stage and the applause stopped, he said, “Thank you for the applause. I deserve it.”

I thought, how can he say that? Even if you believe it, you don’t say it!

He was making a point about self-worth. He was saying that it’s ok to believe in yourself. It’s ok to take a compliment and say, “Thank you.” Doing these things will affect your confidence in a positive way.

It still took me a long time to embrace this concept. I continued to sabotage my success by being inconsistent with my team, by making bad investments, by not following through on what I said I was going to do and a million other ways… until I realized that I was worthy, deserving and capable. Once I realized this, things got better, but I still struggle with it.

I’m constantly  working on it. I will get there. And you will, too
