    How to Reprogram Yourself

Would it surprise you to find out that you have been programmed Bad Programming to NOT succeed in Network Marketing?

Starting around age 2 you were programmed by your family, friends, teachers, coworkers, boss… to fit their model.

So how do we reprogram our mind for success in Network Marketing?

The first step is self-awareness. Once you realize that your programming is affecting the activities that you need to do to be successful in your life and business, you can do something about it. You can change the thoughts and attitude that have been created by the programming, which will lead to the right kind of activity.

Next, you need to change your associations. You’re the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. You earn what they earn, read what they read, live how they live, etc. Because of this, you should associate with people who you aspire to be like. In addition, you want to be the least powerful person in the group, because the others will pull you up. If you’re the most powerful, the others will pull you down. You should also spend less time with those who are a bad influence and are less successful than you are.

The next step is to change your thoughts. You have a mental scale in your mind that decides what’s more important to you. If your thoughts and ideas weigh less than life’s distractions, those distractions will win out and you won’t take action. You have to adjust your thoughts so that they are bigger, or heavier, than the distractions, so that you complete your activities.

Something else you must adjust is your attitude, specifically about the past, the future, others and yourself. Don’t beat yourself up about the past. You can’t do anything about it. Learn from it. It’s part of your journey. Focus on the future. Care about the people in your organization. Be mature. Support and be kind to others. Treat yourself with kindness. Give yourself encouragement and forgive yourself for past mistakes.

Once you’ve changed your programming, you can start doing activities that will make you successful. These can be a few simple disciplines that are practiced every day that you repeat over time. These should include the basics… finding prospects, inviting, presenting, following up, closing, getting people started, holding and attending events

This will feel uncomfortable for a certain period of time and seem like it isn’t making any difference. Nobody will be watching and it will feel like nobody cares. Then suddenly, it will become comfortable, and most importantly, you will see the results!
