Part 3: The Power of Believing in Yourself
If I could give you one piece of advice that I wish someone had given me early in my Network Marketing career, it would be to consciously build belief in yourself.
Not believing that you’re capable, worthy and enough can affect you in many areas of your life, but there are things we can do to build belief in yourself.
When you develop skills, it helps you build belief in yourself. Learning and eventually mastering the seven skills of Network Marketing did more than anything else to help me build confidence. When you know how to do something well you are confident about it. Remember, YOU and your abilities are the most important aspect of your business.
Studying also helps. Reading, listening to audios, watching videos and attending events all help you to build your personal development and skills, and in turn, your belief in yourself. Of all these ways to study, reading is the most important. Jim Rohn, an icon of personal development, was the one who told me, leaders are readers.
Your associations are also very important when it comes to how you feel about yourself. Do you hang around negative people? Or do you spend time with positive people that you aspire to be like? Remember, you become an average of the 5 people you are around the most. Negative people will have a negative impact on your actions and confidence.
Even if you are just starting to do these things, right now, even without doing them, you are valuable! So for some affirmation, repeat these mantras to yourself every day…
I am worthy.
I am deserving.
I am capable.
I am enough.
It all starts with the faith that you are going to get there, which eventually changes into hope, and if you hang on to hope, and do the things I mentioned above, it will finally become belief.
Once you do all this and have belief in yourself, you won’t believe how easy it all becomes.
